Confirm your home and date
Ask the team to confirm the exact unit, occupancy arrangement, agreed move-in date and key handover process. An enquiry or preferred date is not a reservation. Wait for written confirmation before arranging a move around it.
Keep your documents together
Ask which documents are required, how they should be shared and which secure channel the team uses. Read the rental agreement before signing. Save the signed version and the itemised quote somewhere you can find them again.
Check the inventory at handover
Walk through the home with the agreed inventory. Note existing wear, check the appliances and record any meter readings that apply. Agree on any pending work and who will follow up. A shared handover record is more useful than relying on memory later.
Understand how to get help
Save the correct resident-support contact and ask how to report an issue. Confirm housekeeping arrangements, waste collection, guest policies and building access. Pet, parking and other building-specific rules should be clear before you settle in.
Bring the things that make it yours
Confirm which linens, kitchen items and household basics are included, then pack what is not. Keep chargers, daily essentials and the first night’s belongings easy to reach. You do not need every detail perfect to start feeling at home.
