How a frustrating house-hunting experience turned into a mission to fix renting in Bangalore.
In 2021, our founders Ranjith and Arun relocated to Bangalore for work — excited about the city's energy and opportunities. But the excitement quickly turned into frustration. Finding a decent place to live meant dealing with shady brokers, paying hefty brokerage fees, and settling for unfurnished apartments that felt anything but home.
Beyond the logistics, what hit hardest was the loneliness. Moving to a new city without a social circle is tough. They realized that thousands of young professionals face the same challenge every year — uprooted, overcharged, and isolated. That's when the idea for Nestive Rentals was born: a place that's more than just four walls and a roof.
Today, Nestive Rentals operates across 6 prime locations in Bangalore, housing over 500 residents who call our spaces home. We've eliminated brokerage, furnished every room with care, and built a community where new friendships form over weekend treks, movie nights, and shared dinners. We're not just a rental company — we're building a better way to live.
